On the red carpet at the 2024 Tony Awards, Angelina Jolie made a big impression by revealing some gorgeous new tattoos. The 49-year-old producer and actor of the critically acclaimed musical The Outsiders made an appearance at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater in New York City on Sunday, June 16.
She looked stunning in a custom light-teal gown covered in Atelier Versace velvet, with a sweetheart neckline showcasing her newest tattoo, a delicate bird in flight that resembles a sparrow. Her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne, who is listed as a producer assistant on The Outsiders Playbill, looked stunning in the outfit, which she accessorized with a velvet shrug.
The bird tattoo is a fresh addition to Angelina Jolie already extensive collection and was not visible back in April when she and Vivienne attended the musical’s opening night. In addition to the new bird tattoo, Angelina also debuted another piece of ink at the opening night of The Outsiders.
She looked stunning on the red carpet in New York City on April 11th, wearing a silk gown, a regal cloak the color of caramel, and bold jewelry. Jolie once lifted her upper layer to show the newly applied ink that said “Stay Gold” in cursive writing. This was a touching allusion to a lyric from The Outsiders when Ponyboy advises Johnny to “stay gold,” which is now a hit song from the upcoming musical.
On the red carpet, Angelina stood with her daughter Vivienne, both of them looking stylish and coordinated. Vivienne wore a blue utility jumpsuit with a patch that said “Stay Gold” in her mother’s tattoo’s typeface. The young producer is definitely emulating her stylish mother and leaving a lasting impression on the production.
