Step aside, Batman!
The last big superhero movie of the year, Aquaman is a worldwide phenomenon and it broke Christmas box office record, beating previous champions like Avatar and Star Wars. Say wut!
This piece of news is not a surprise to us because boy, it is one of the best 2 hours and 22 minutes spent in the cinema. Heck, it worth every dime!
To those who have not watched Aquaman, this movie centers around the main character, Aquaman aka Author Joseph Curry and his origins.
But why is Aquaman blowing everyone away? Here’s 5 reasons you should watch Aquaman before it’s too late.
1. Jason Momoa as Aquaman is overwhelmingly hot

Ladies (and gents), he is a truly sight to behold! This is the first time Jason Momoa grace the silver screen in his superhero costumes (and semi nude half the time). Either way, he is too much to handle! Jason also makes the character appear far more menacing. He’s also DCEU’s first man of colour as a half white and half Native Hawaiian!
2. A stellar supporting casts

Aquaman is full of great actors who put forth their A-game in their supporting roles, from Nicole Kidman, Amber Heard, and Willem Dafoe to Patrick Wilson and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. Each of them played their characters so well!
3. It was directed by our fellow Sawarakian, James Wan

James Was has been carving a name for himself since his days directing the Conjouring series & FF 7. This, my friend, is just another movie that makes our nation proud, all for the right reasons!
4. The special effects

If you’ve watched the trailer, you’ll know how much effort has been made to create their special effects. Aquaman has many underwater scenes which makes it extra difficult and tricky to deal with.
5. The wonders of Greek mythologies
The lost city of Atlantis, the most powerful trident to rule the Seven Seas which is made out of Poseidon’s metal, KARATHEN! Man, it’s like kid in a Greek wonderland! This movie tells you everything you need to know about Aquaman and his superpowers, the creatures living beneath the sea, POLLUTION and many more. It’s truly an exciting movie and perhaps one of the best movies to end the year with!
