Gather your girlfriends, get a tub of ice cream, order in a pizza and cosy yourself up to chick flick this weekend!
Here’s a list of 5 chick flicks on Netflix for your next movie night:
1. The Lucky One
As with any movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, we have to warn you, this movie is incredibly emotional! Whilst at war in Iraq, a marine (played by Zac Efron, **squeals**) finds a picture of a woman and believes that she is his lucky charm. Upon returning from war, the lonely marine decides to find the woman.
2. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
If you’re up for something more light-hearted, How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days is the perfect rom-com! A writer decides to write an article on how to lose a guy in 10 days, showing everything that women do that scare away men at the beginning of a relationship. The man she has chosen for her article, on the other hand, was challenged to make a woman fall in love with him. Watching the two of them try and achieve their goals with each other winds up with a hilarious sequence of events, as we see each of them trying harder and harder to get what they want.
3. Clueless
The popular and rich girl in high school Cher, tries to play matchmaker with her teachers in order to get a better grade. When that goes to plan, she decides to do what any girl in a high school chick flick does, and tries to give a new student a makeover and make her popular. When her plan works a little too well, she finds herself in trouble and questioning everything she prioritises.
4. He’s Just Not That Into You
This movie follows the lives of several people who are all interconnected somehow as they navigate their romantic and sexual lives. Watch them deal with different aspects of their relationships and see how each of them is linked to the other.
5. Notting Hill
A British bookseller and famous American actress cross paths and fall in love. Whilst this sounds like a dream to most of us (and most likely one we’ve had about an actor/actress), we watch them navigate the problems that arise from their differences in social status.
