December is approaching. The end of the year is around the corner. More vacations and trips are on the way; are you the one who is struggling with the passport renewal process?
The Covid-19 pandemic lasted around three years and we were not permitted or advised to travel abroad, and our passports are expired now.
More people are now going to the immigration office for the passport renewal process, resulting in a crowd forming at the immigration office.
Below stated are the steps for the passport renewal process :
Step 1 – Head to the MyOnline Passport portal
Step 2 – Fill in the online application form
Step 3 -Upload a recent passport-sized photograph of yourself
Step 4 -Select which Passport Recipient and Immigration Office you’d like to collect your new passport from. You can see the full list here.
Step 5 -Pay the application fee with a credit or debit card.
Step 6 -You’ll be given a date and time to collect your passport from the selected Passport Recipient and Issuance Office.
Step 7 – Take along the required documentation on the day in order to pick up your new passport.
Below listed are the documentation needed to bring while collecting new passport :
1. Your current e-passport
2. Your Identification Card (MyKad)
3. Your payment receipt
4. A recent passport-sized photo of yourself
5. A birth certificate (for applicants under the age of 18)
Passport Renewal Price
Aged 13-59 years old: RM 200
Senior Citizens ( Aged 60 above ): RM 100
