Anyone who has seen the Academy-Award winning movie, Parasite can attest to how revolutionary and impactful the movie was at portraying the tale of two families from opposite ends of the socioeconomic spectrum.
Arguably, one of the most iconic things about the movie is the Ram-don scene.
Ram-don is actually the common Korean dish Jjapaguri, which is made of two different types of instant noodle. In the movie, the Ram-don was paired with sirloin steak, a subtle commentary on the differences between the rich and the poor.
Think of it as like having Maggi curry topped with Wagyu Kobe beef.
Despite that, Malaysians now get a chance to try this iconic dish at Ben’s. The chefs at Ben’s have created the ram-don as true to the movie as possible, using both Chapagetti and Neoguri topped with, you guessed it, sirloin steak.

However, the irony of selling bowls of instant noodles with expensive cuts of meat at a premium have caught the eyes of Malaysians, and they have a lot to say.
