He used to be a banker in the Risk Management Department of Bank Negara for 27 years. But soon, he began to lose motivation in his job, and opted for an early retirement.
But, now he bakes cakes for a living.

Zulkiflee started his baking journey initially only baking for friends and family, taking classes along the way. However, after receiving great feedback, he became motivated to pursue baking, and travelled all the way to Paris to study at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school to hone his pastry skills.

But Zulkiflee’s success wasn’t an easy road. According to the News Straits Time, he admitted that it was difficult in the start for him to earn a living in this line of work.
But his determination paid off and he was finally able to open the Banker2Baker boutique cafe in Wangsa Maju, Kuala Lumpur. He now receives about six to 15 cake orders a week, and has made about 2,000 cakes up to this day.
