The long-awaited Netflix original series, The Witcher has finally made it to the screens!
Starring Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, the main protagonist of the show, Cavill was famously known for playing Superman in the DC franchise, as well as Anya Chalotra who plays Yennefer of Vengerberg , one of the main characters in the Witcher series.
If you’re a fan of magic, witchcraft and action, this is the show for you!
In the Netflix series, Geralt of Rivia (the main protagonist) is a superhuman possessing various abilities such as increased strength, agility, endurance, cat-like eyes which improves night vision and also being able to wield magic in the form of signs. These superhumans like Geralt, are called ‘Witchers’ were made to slay monsters. In this world of monsters, you will see many different species such as dwarfs and elves.

Referring scenes from the show to Shrek, this shows to say that there are people who are huge fans of the Witcher from the beginning.
And don’t worry, the producers are making sure it’s legitimate.
The author of the original Witcher book, Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and CD Projekt Red’s Tomas Baginski whom developed the video game have rendered their help in bringing the Netflix series to life. The die-hard fans would most probably recognize these names.
The first season of the series is already on Netflix, consisting of 8 episodes and was premiered on 20 December 2019. So grab your favourite binge watching snack and grind with Geralt of Rivia, as he goes about on his adventure in the Witcher!
