Neelofa Modh Noor is many things. A popular TV host, an actress, an entrepreneur, a style icon, and a social media influencing powerhouse with over 5 million Instagram followers, and more than 2 million Twitter followers. She can now add ‘barista’ to that long list of achievements.
She has recently become Malaysia’s first celebrity ambassador for Starbucks Coffee’s #MYCupsOfKindness campaign! She is now the second celebrity to join this campaign, joining award-winning pop megastar, Lady Gaga, who joined the US version of it.
The announcement was made on Starbucks’ Facebook page and Neelofa’s Instagram account. The actress posted on her Instagram, saying that she would be a barista serving frappucinnos at the Starbucks outlet at Four Seasons in Jalan Ampang on the 1st of August.

You can be part of this special project by visiting any Starbucks store on 1 August and ordering my new favorites, the Apricot and Peach Yoghurt Frappuccino or the Ruby Grape Frappuccino. With the purchase of either of these beverages, 50 cent will be donated to a charity that is close to Neelofa’s heart.
Neelofa also said that 50 sen from every purchase would go towards a a charitable organization of her choice, which is just wonderful! The post for more than 160,000 likes and her fans responded very positively to the news. Here’s a photo of her with some of the types frappuccinos she made for the customers who came by.

Her stint as a barista was well-received among fans who went by to see her in the classic green apron of Starbucks. She also wore a really stylish all black Alexander Wang outfit for a streamlined, edgy look.
Neelofa working as a barista to raise money for charity is a great example of the positive impact an influencer can have. Her fans were more than happy to follow her to Starbucks and join their existing customers to promote a message of being kind. Many of the customers took this chance to take photos with her and over 900 netizens wished her congrats for her new ‘appointment’.
Neelofa herself seemed to be having a great time as her new role as Starbucks’ premiere barista. She mentioned on her Instagram that she hopes to do this again.
This is not the first time Neelofa has worked with local brands. Some of her previous highlights include the telecom company YES, AirAsia, OPPO, Lancome, and Titan.
