Are you planning where you’re going in the NEW YEAR? You can go for a picnic! Bring your family and friends for a picnic on the weekend.
Taman Saujana Hijau occupying a 48-hectare land in Precinct 11 Putrajaya, it is a park covering a ridge and three rolling hills. There is a 2.8km jogging track running through the park, so there is something for everyone here. The landscaping is different from other parks in Putrajaya as it is planted with more pine, juniper, thuja, other conifers and less tropical plants. This creates an optical illusion of being in the highlands of Malaysia, while the floral scent of the track fills the air with a fragrance reminiscent of a British summer.
The park is divided into 3 zones (hills):
European Garden
This garden is the tallest of the three hills and offers great views of Putrajaya. There is a small European-style pavilion that stands next to the open lawn.
Oriental Garden
This garden is topped by a Chinese-style pavilion and makes greater use of tropical vegetation. The shelter in this park is equipped with a lightning protection system (basically a tall mast) and warns visitors not to stand next to the mast during a thunderstorm.
English Garden
This garden is a popular picnic spot with a charming gazebo surrounded by sunflowers, lovely English flower beds, reptile plants and juniper trees.
