Lacoste is a brand that is familiar to almost everyone. A iconic green crocodile as their logo and their preppy Polo have been in the market for as long as we could remember.
Recently, the crocodile left its historic spot for their Lacoste x Save Our Species (SOS) collection.
The limited edition collection consists of 10 white Polo tees with 10 different endangered animals in green embroidery on the left chest. The endangered species are The Vaquite – only 30 of this sea mammal left in the world; the Burmese Roofed Turtle – only 40 left in the world, the Northen Sportive Lemur – only 50 left in the world, the Javan Rhino – only 67 left in the world, the Cao-Vit Gibbon – only 150 left in the world, the Kakapo – only 157 of this nocturnal parrot left in the world, the California Condor – only 231 left in the world, the Saola – only 250 left in the world, the Sumatran Tiger – only 350 left in the world and last but not least, the Anegada Ground Iguana – only 450 left in the world.

The crocodile logo was introduced in 1936 and has never left its position since in all of the Lacoste collection that came after, until the SOS collection.
Part of the profit will go directly to the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), funding tangible nature protection actions in order to further protect wildlife. This is a non-profit collaboration, which has been signed for 3 years.
The collection only have 1,775 shirts available, each having the print run that corresponds to the number of each species’ remaining population.
