Malaysia will host the M6 World Championship, the largest MLBB tournament
The M6 World Championship is scheduled to commence in November 2024 and will be hosted by Malaysia.
Yesterday, December 17, at the M5 World Championship Finals in Manila, Philippines, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister Adam Adli made the announcement.
“M6 will mark a significant milestone for our country, and we can’t wait to welcome esports enthusiasts, fans, and players from all over the world to witness the unparalleled passion and hospitality that Malaysia has to offer.
At the event, he declared, “The combined efforts of all Malaysians will craft an unforgettable experience, embodying the spirit of Malaysia Truly Asia.”
Adam said, “See you in Malaysia for M6!” as he concluded his speech. “We are leaving Malaysia!”
A US$900,000 (RM4.22 million) prize pool was offered for this year’s competition. The Filipino team AP Bren won the championship by defeating Indonesia’s Onic Esports 4-3 in the grand final, and they took home US$300,000 (RM1.4 million).
Homebois and Team SMG, both Malaysian teams, placed tenth and twelveth, respectively, earning US$20,000 (RM93,908) each from the prize money.
