1. How did it felt like, when you found out you were about to become a mother?
Honestly, I was extremely excited because I’ve always wanted to have kids, yet a bit nervous when I found out. But at that time, I was already 26 years old so I think it was a right time, for me, to have a baby.
I knew that motherhood is a lifetime commitment, and I felt that my life and the things I have went through have prepared me to be mentally and physically ready.
2. What are 3 essentials you must have in your bag?
My 3 essentials would have to be Wet Wipes, Cleansing Bum Spray and Hand Sanitiser.
3. How do you juggle between being a mother and an influencer?
Internal support from loved ones is the key. My job requires me to move around a lot, with shoots and events and whatnot. Hence, whenever I am busy with my job, I seek help from my family to take care of my kids but whatever it is, my children is and will always be my top priority.
4. What are some advices you could give for mothers out there?
There are no rights or wrongs when it comes to raising a kid. People are under the impression that a mother is always perfect because we can do everything. But we are only human and like everyone else, we’re still figuring it out as we go along. So my advice would to be to do whatever you think is the best for your children, and remember no one can stop you from giving the best for them. And enjoy your motherhood journey; it is a sacred and special thing.
5. Describe motherhood in one word.

1. How did it felt like, when you found out you were about to become a mother?
I definitely had mixed feelings upon discovering my pregnancy; I was so happy and blessed as I took it as a gift from God. Yet, I was really scared as I kept asking myself “Am I really adequate to be a good mom?” You go through so many emotions when you’re pregnant.
2. What are 3 essentials you must have in your bag?
-Wet Tissues
-Merries Diapers
-Teether
3. How do you juggle between being a mother and an influencer?
Organization skill is the key to balancing the scales of motherhood and work-life. But even then, nothing will ever prepare you when you have a child. Things will always change at the last minute, and the best I can do is to prepare for the worst.
I definitely do not take all of the credit though, as I had help from my mother and mother-in-law. As well as my husband, who’s always helping me even after he gets home from work.
4. What are some advices you could give for mothers out there?
Enjoy the times you spend with your kids, because it truly does go by really fast. There’s a stigma that once you have your kids, that you wouldn’t be able to enjoy life as much. But I beg to differ; although motherhood is a non-stop job, nobody said you cannot have fun while at it!
5. Describe motherhood in one word.
Strong.
3. Jorise Lee
Beautician, Owner of MamaMoo; 1 child: Caius Ooi
Jorise Lee spills about the struggles to balance a full-time working life and what it’s like to own a business whilst raising her adorable baby boy, Caius.
1. How did it felt like, when you found out you were about to become a mother?
The emotions that I felt were beyond comprehension. I was amazing but I won’t lie, I was definitely nervous for the challenges that motherhood have in store for me, because I was worried that I couldn’t live up to what a mother should and would do. But later I realized that nothing can really prepare you for something like this, and that I should just learn as I go.
2. What are 3 essentials you must have in your bag?
-Wet wipes
-Hand sanitizer
-Lemongrass spray
Once you’re a mother, there’s no lipstick, hand-cream or any kind of essentials like that anymore. It’s totally different!
3. How do you juggle between being a mother and an influencer?
It’s never easy being a mom trying to juggle a full-time job with a family life. I am a working-mom and like all moms who have a full-time job like me, we cope with the common emotions like stress, guilt and pressure. But at the end of the day, I always remind myself that my job is beneficial to my family and it’s for the betterment of my child’s life. So I try to focus on a plan, get organized, and find the right balance between profession and parenthood.
4. What are some advices you could give for mothers out there?
Know your worth, moms. Because you are awesome! We all try our best and as much as that sounds daunting, it’s all we can do. You are brave, and you are not alone in this. Mothers who seemed to have it all like Michelle Obama or Kim Kardashian do not have that kind of life-coordination overnight.
Do not be scared. There’s a saying that goes “mother knows best”. And I believe that there is a reason for it, as a real mother would do nothing but provide the best for their kids as far as their capabilities go. So my final advice for you is to trust your instincts.
5. Describe motherhood in one word.
Fulfilling.

3. How do you juggle between being a mother and an influencer?
Being a working mommy and fully breastfeeding my baby can be hectic but I managed to balance it out with the help of my love, my husband. I’m so lucky to have someone that is so responsible and helpful with all the house chores and even taking care of our baby boy. It’s all about give and take; good communication is the key to a happy relationship.
My most memorable moment of being a mom? Ohh my there’s a lot! But the top on the list is definitely the moment I held my baby for the first time. Not to forget, the first latch. It was magical. Just magical.
4. What are some advices you could give for mothers out there?
Whether it’s normal or cesarean birth, every birth is a miracle. Whether you’re a working mommy or stay at home mom, you are the best. Whether you’re breastfeeding or formula feeding your baby, for whatever reason, all mothers are amazing, strong and fierce. Just remember that you know what’s best for your baby. To all mommies, instead of judging each other, let’s all start supporting and encouraging one another. Stop comparing ourselves or even our babies to one another because trust me, at the end of the day, we all want the best for our babies. And to the eyes of our precious little baby, no one is as amazing and strong like their mommy.
5. Describe motherhood in one word.
In one word? Gosh, that’s hard. I would say, MAGICAL!
