Even though we have some weird and interesting ramen mixes in Malaysia, like durian and chocolate ramen, we don’t seem to be able to compete with the frog ramen restaurants in Taiwan.
Crocodile ramen, which just came out at a Taiwanese ramen restaurant, takes it to a whole new level.
Local newspaper China Press said that a ramen shop in Yunlin posted on a Facebook group to tell group members about a new dish called “Godzilla crocodile ramen”
As you can see in the picture, the bowl of hearty ramen has usual ingredients like baby corn, quail eggs, black fungus and lemon slices. But one thing that got people’s attention was the huge crocodile foot that still had its claws on it.
This bowl of ramen, aptly named, ‘Godzilla Crocodile Ramen (酷斯拉鱷魚拉麵)’, can only be found in a restaurant called ‘Witch Cat (女巫猫葵)’ in Taiwan. According to the post, one bowl costs approximately RM225. Other than that, you can’t just walk in and get a bowl of ramen. You have to make an appointment.
They also told customers that if they ordered a bowl of ramen just to take a picture and didn’t eat it, they would have to pay an extra $100 TWD (RM15) for wasting food as a penalty.
