The new Batman 2021 is finally taking up shape after casting Robert Pattinson as Batman.
Zoe Kravitz, actress of Big Little Lies and Crimes of Grindelwald has been cast as Catwoman/Selina Kyle in Matt Reeve’s upcoming The Batman. This isn’t the first time she auditioned for a Batman film. She auditioned for a role in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises but got rejected.
But finally, she did it!
She was cast after a rigorous casting process that saw Ana de Armas, Ella Balinska, Elza Gonzalez reading opposite Pattinson.
One interesting thing is that she voiced Catwoman in the Lego Batman movie!
Fellow actors have sent their congratulations after her casting. Anne Hathaway, who played Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises has congratulated her and wishes her “the journey of a lifetime”.
Michelle Pffeifer, who played Catwoman in 1992’S Batman Returns offered a piece of hilarious advice for Kravtiz:
Make sure, while designing the costume, they consider how you’re going to go to the bathroom.
Other actors have sent their congratulations. Her stepfather Jason Momoa has congratulated her on an Instagram post.

I think she’s the perfect anything. She’s pretty much the perfect woman, Zoe, right?
Congratulations on your casting, Zoe Kravitz! We wish you all the best for the filming.
