This teen went viral after finding out she had COVID-19 after filming a video of her taste-testing a Starbucks drink.
The 19-year-old found out she had COVID-19 after doing a taste-test on a Starbucks drink for a TikTok video. In the video you could see an excited Maryn Short filming herself tasting a Starbucks drink to only realise that she couldn’t taste anything. That’s when her faced change and she became worried.
The drink that she ordered was supposed to taste like a caramel macchiato which she orders regularly, that was supposed to taste “super sweet”. In reality, when she tasted her first sip she found it a bit odd that she couldn’t really taste anything .

According to Whats Trending, “It was almost like I was drinking sweet milk. I could tell it was sweet, but there was no flavor at all,”. “It was really strange. It’s hard to describe.”
In the video, after tasting she says, “This has no flavor. Why can’t I taste it? Do I have COVID?” She then phoned her mother after filming the video, and she was asked to get tested immediately. She took a rapid-response COVID test the following day.
