The highly anticipated Toppen Shopping Mall has finally opened doors on Wednesday, 13th November.
For all you Johoreans, you must be excited as the newly launched mall opened just in time for the holidays!
The new mall is said to change the retail game in Johor, with 1.25 million square-feet in size with four levels of shops, approximately around 300 stores! To top all that off, there is an exciting rooftop space with entertainment and international dining options.
The plus side of the location of Toppen Shopping Mall is that it is connected to the Johor Bahru IKEA mall at Taman Desa Tebrau and the opposite is the AEON Tebrau City mall.
So, once you’re done exploring Toppen you can head over to IKEA and there’s still AEON!
Toppen’s tenants include brands that are new to Johor, such as e-sports arena The Pantheon and fashion stores as well.
Toppen is the first Malaysian mall to include an open public rooftop where there are activities available like the on-site playground or water play area.
There’s also an area space dedicated to sports, like rock climbing, skateboard park, and a basketball court. The rooftop is a great place to chill and unwind and family-friendly as well.
Ikea Southeast Asia MD Christian Roejkjaer told his guests at the opening ceremony that “We will attract people not just from Johor, but from all over Southern Malaysia, and from Singapore, as well,”
What do you think about this newly open rooftop mall? Would you travel all the way to JB just to explore it in the first person? Or if you’re in JB, have you been over to check it out yet? Let us know at the comments!
