A video capturing the emotional embrace of a man and his mother quickly gained traction on the Internet, pulling on the heartstrings of netizens all over Malaysia.

The frontliner who works as a police officer had spent 9 months away from his family training and another 3 months on duty during the implementation and execution of the MCO.

Being hurled into the forefront of a global pandemic, the frontliner had to juggle dealing with the enervating battle against the novel coronavirus and the difficulties that came along with not being able to see his mother for nearly a year simultaneously.
When he finally was reunited with his mother upon his visit to her nasi lemak stall, he understandably broke down.
The duo was wrapped in a tight embrace for awhile, emotion emanating from their hug.
