Wait… does this mean, no more Pottermore? OMG!

The recent announcement of joint venture Pottermore-Warner Bros. with an all-new digital platform – Wizarding World Digital, has left many potter fans with mixed feelings.
Excuse me but no one in the world has the right to close Pottermore who the heck decided that would be a good idea??

Got an email from Pottermore saying that they'll be merging with Wizarding World. I don't know what to feel. Pottermore is more for the book fans and WW is for the movie fans. There are details in Pottermore that answers the questions of the readers than the viewers pic.twitter.com/cyx3HWKB2l

I do not like this idea at all. It'll marginalise and divide fans even further and create/promote a gross sense of snobbery and gatekeeping across the whole wizarding world. https://t.co/mqpLwBsjWv

The all-new digital platform (Which also raises questions if Pottermore will still exist?) actually aims to provide fans with ‘bigger and better’ digital experiences especially with more Fantastic Beasts content.

However, the new digital-platform might divide fans into two different spectrums. Why? Because of the paid subscription concept of Wizarding World Digital that divides members into Gold tier members and non-Gold tier members.

But a statement from Pottermore assured fans that Wizarding World Digital will “put fans, new and old, at its heart.”

Now, hold your horses (or wands), let’s dissect what we know so far:
1. Migrating To Wizarding World Digital
via GIPHY
All Pottermore interactive-materials, and that includes the sorting hat quizzes, features and articles will be moved to Wizarding World Digital. So, don’t worry, you’ll still get the gist of Pottermore in there.
2. A New Team
via GIPHY
The team includes those already working with Pottermore so that means there will be no one losing their jobs with the coming of this new venture. Now, that’s good news.
And now for the gold members, according to Mugglenet.com…
3. A Welcome Kit For Gold Members
via GIPHY
Comes with an interactive journal and a ‘Gold Key Pin’ where you can ‘wear’ it and interact with other Wizarding World Gold Members.
4. Contests
via GIPHY
There will be regular contests where gold members can win incredible prizes! Does it include a Nimbus 2000?
5. Attend Members-Only Fan Events

At exclusive Wizarding World locations.
6. New Harry Potter Games

And lastly…
7. Exclusive Access To Wizarding World Digital’s Online Shop

With special offers and one-of-a-kind merchandises.
Let’s just hope that this venture will work out for the good of everyone, gold members or not. Let us know if you’re excited for this new venture!
