1) DONNA’s
This troupe consists for 6 young and energetic ladies, coming from Ei8hty Se7en Streets Dance Academy. Their leader, Apple, specialises in K-Pop and Street-style and they have a wide range of experience in performing at events having participated in many dance competitions such as J&K Competition 2015, D’Dance Volume 2 2014, and BPFA K-Pop Dance Competition 2014.
2) Wakaka Crew
This crew started in 2007 after some of its members won a competition in Sure Heboh. The group has performed in many shows and have won many competitions and titles with one of their biggest achievements being that their crew was awarded the Best Dance Crew in 8TV’s Showdown 2010 held in KL Live in 2010. Some of its members had also represented Malaysia in Battle of the Year Asia in 2005, 2006 and 2008. Alam, a member of the crew, had also won ‘Best Bboy in 2004 and 2005 Malaysia’ and also 8TV’s So You Think You Can Dance. They’ve also represented Malaysia all around the world and aims to entertain at every performance.
3) Inversion
Officially formed on 2007, each member in this 10-person dance troupe is equipped with unique skills, talents, and experiences in the street dance industry. Their principle is that “everyone can dance” and they look forward to spreading the joy of dancing to the world and everyone around them. Over the years, the team has triumphed in many various competitions such as the Genexter Street Dance competition Putrajaya, Sg. Wang Super Dancers 2014, Tasto V-Dance 2012, Hari Belia TM Dance Competition 2012, and many more. They are fully experienced as stage performances having done numerous music video shoots, musical theatre performances, flash mobs events and other on-ground activation performances.
4) Fuxion Dance Crew
This KL-based dance troupe consists both female and male dancers, mainly specialising in K-pop-style dances. The team mainly covers EXO, Infinite and BTS. They have also represented Malaysia in the K-Pop ASEAN Festival Dance Cover Competition in 2014 and had successfully made it to the top 8. In June 2015, the dance troupe also won the KBS World category at the 2015 K-Pop World Festival in Malaysia.
5) Zeppo Youngsterz Crew
Formed in 2011, this troupe comprises of young and professional street dance performers. They have also won the title of ‘Dance Group of the World’ at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Hollywood, California, in 2014 in the Junior Grand Champion category. After many years in the scene, the troupe has gained more than 335,000 video views on their YouTube channel and has acquired more than 1,529 subscribers.
6) HyperActive Entertainment
This KL-based dance troupe, led by Celica Dance, is a group of professional entertainers with distinct identity, personality and outstanding showmanship. Their performances incorporate energetic and mysterious elements which made them the champion of Clash of the Kingz in 2015.
7) Elecoldxhot
This troupe started small in 2007 with only popping and animation. However today, Elecoldxhot has emerged to be a team of passionate and professional dancers. The troupe aspires to prove to the world that dancing is a lifestyle. They have proven their track record by winning Astro Battleground in 2008, Suntec Dance and 8TV Showdown in 2011. They had also represented Malaysia at the Hip Hop International Dance Championship in 2013 and won a bronze medal. With their clean and intricate choreography, fun and refreshing routine, they earned a roaring standing ovation from the crowd for their excellent performance during the competition.
8) Bounce Stepperz
Formed in January 2010, Bounce Stepperz is a mixture of female and male dancers. Each member has their own forte in the areas of traditional Malay dance, contemporary, street-style dance, and hip-hop. This troupe brings a new element into the dance realm in Malaysia such as street traditional which has a combination of traditional Malay dances. Moreover, they have also won first place in many various competitions in 2012 including Hari Wilayah Street Dance Competition at Dataran Merdeka and TM Street Dance Showdown at Seremban.
9) Rejuvenate Dance Crew
This dance troupe was founded by Danny lee in 2010 and is made up of 7 talented and passionate individuals who combine the dance styles of popping, b-boy, and street dance into a medley of amazing dance routines. The troupe has been performing in many events in Malaysia and even Singapore, hoping to showcase their unique moves and also get inspiration to bring their routines to the next level. One of their defining moments was when they were they placed 2nd in 8TV’s Showdown All Stars in Malaysia.
10) Epsilon
This group got its name from the fifth letter of the Greek alphabet, representing its 5 group members. Epsilon was formed in 2010 and performed songs by popular South Korean band SHINee. The team is led by Dayana Anith and has performed for corporate occasions all around Malaysia, making their first public appearance at myHottest’s 1.59 charity event at Korea Plaza way back in 2010. The group gained more prominence after they won bronze in the second UCC contest organised by South Koran English entertainment channel Arirang TV in 2011.
