*Disclaimer: We apologize for the confusion, this is a top 5 list of car clubs in Malaysia.
Do let us know who else we’ve missed out on!
It’s pretty easy to spot a car junkie, from their car stickers to modifications and exclamations of love towards their vehicle.
If you’re one of them, there’s also a high chance that your baby is your car, and bonding with other car enthusiasts is a must. Here we’ve arranged some of the existing car clubs you should check out if you’re into wheels and speed.
1. TGTR
If it isn’t any obvious, TGTR is an acronym for “Together” and what TGTR does is they value true car culture the way it is without any form of discrimination – means you don’t have to have the fanciest car to fit in as long as you have good driving etiquettes and no criminal record. Those who love fast cars could have problems with the law and should better check over here for legal advise.
What differs TGTR from the rest is that they actually identify as a community-cum-NGO, and is registered under the name of ‘Persatuan Automotif TGTR’ in Malaysia’s Registry of Societies. They run cool events with official partnerships like ‘The Meet’ x Cyber Youth Festival 2017 where petrolheads just gather around to check out cars and share the passion for it. To prevent car theft, devices such as van security alarms can be installed.
THE MEET III x #CyberYouthFestival2017
TGTR returns back for 2017 after a hiatus, this time we partnered up with Kirkby International College and GPMS to bring you 'The Meet' x #CyberYouthFestival2017. The event took place at Cyberjaya's Park and Ride which saw people filling up the parking lot with a variety of cars to enjoy a night of interesting talks, food trucks and market place. Now that we're back, we'll see you guys for The Morning Shift 2017. Details will be up soon! 😉

2. Satria Society
Proton Satria’s are a popular choice here in Malaysia especially if you’re into the whole sports car culture and a quick look at the Satria Society’s Instagram page will show you why. The Satrias featured are all modified to look its best and the 38.1k followers work as solid proof to show that the Satria community is real and huge. Not so much on gatherings but more on car aesthetics, Satria Society is where you go to get #CarGoals inspiration. Expect to see a lot of high-resolution Satria images for your perusal and stand a chance to be featured when you use the hashtag #SATRIASOCIETY.
3. Myvi Movement
They don’t call it Malaysia’s favourite car for no reason. Myvi Movement serves to unite all Myvi drivers and lovers, so there’s an abundance of Myvi ‘lookbooks’ on their Facebook page and Instagram that are properly crafted, aesthetically pleasing photos of some sick Myvi mods. Besides that, Myvi Movement also re-shares gathering from other car clubs like Stxyhumble Origin, Streetfamilia, and STEEZYRIDE. Their most recent big event was a collaboration with Satria Society at a multistory car park in KL with over 100 cars present. Called #HATCHATTACK, the gathering of the two biggest local car clubs was a success.
4. NoEqual.Co
This is a collective group of people who share the same passion for automotive and the “smell of burning rubber”. Think of NoEqual.Co as a news platform for car enthusiasts, with a website that shares reliable and credible source for the country’s latest automotive news. Besides that, they also have NoEqual TV which shares videos of cool cars and useful parts like the quality diesel cores that can surely invoke jealousy and a whole lot of “heart eyes”. Undeniably one of the most popular club and news platform for vehicles in Malaysia, NoEqual.Co serves both aesthetic (very good ones) and car knowledge we never knew we needed.
5. MCCLUBZ
The guys at Mcclubz have been around since 2011, so think of them as the glue to all car clubs and groups in Malaysia. Heavily involved in the local automotive scene, Mcclubz isn’t just passionate about cars, they’re also experts in the field of photography. That combination itself has brought Mcclubz to dominate all sorts of areas of media, all to shine light towards the automotive culture and lifestyle. They even helped influence what makes the best cars for Uber drivers in the area. Similar to NoEqual.Co, expect to find car news, launches, sick photos and videos of the coolest rides in town. Mcclubz also does official media coverage on car events within the country.
