If you are feeling under the weather after Chinese New Year celebration, take down the notes below!
During Chinese New Year, lots of people enjoyed tons of new year snacks and soft drinks or even beers. They didn’t manage to get enough sleep either since it’s a public holiday! However, all these will make you sick!
So here are some ways for you to prevent or recover from sickness:
1. Stay hydrated
Drink at least 2 bottles of water a day as eating too many new year snacks and consuming sugary drinks will dehydrate you!
2. Get 8 hour of sleep per day
Enough sleep is very important after Chinese New Year celebrations as everyone is back on track for work or school. Our brains need time to rest and recharge in order to be productive. When we don’t get enough sleep, it will be difficult to concentrate, and be less creative.
3. Wash your hand regularly
Since we’re still under a pandemic period, we need to take extra precaution to be safe. Wash your hands often or use hand sanitizers as we did things like receiving angpaos. It is an effective tool to prevent Covid-19 as well as other diseases.
4. Keep your mask on
Visiting relatives and friends’ houses is a must during Chinese New Year. So after a week of gathering, you should put back your mask on to prevent getting sick from others or spreading it.
