The 7th annual Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) is back!
Happening from 21st August to 25th August, the biggest Fashion party is ready to overawe everyone with a line-up of over 80 talented Malaysian designer Fashion labels, walking down the runway of Kuala Lumpur’s fashion hub – Centre Court of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, with jaw-dropping styles and looks!
Every year, KLFW continues to break new grounds in the design world and we are certain this year is predestined to be no different.
Let’s dive in! Check out these 5 shows to keep your eyes peeled for at this years KLFW:
1. Maarimaia

With the countdown going down on Maarimaia’s Instagram space, we are getting really excited for the debut of the secret “Eden”.
Though the label remains tight-lipped about the collection that will be making its way down KLFW’s esteemed runway, we have high hopes. The contemporary womenswear label embraces the independent spirit like no other, celebrating the new genre of femininity – confident, independent, intelligent and sophisticated, a timeless beauty that transcends time, space and trends.

2. Wynka

Next, we have Wynka’s groundbreaking Rhapsody Collection. Like the origins of the name, it is a collection of miscellaneous and extravagant expression all compiled to form something raw yet delicately beautiful.
Wynka’s Founder, Karen Lau who came from a background in fine arts, blended art, and fashion for this collection. From clothing design, creating of prints, artist collaboration to catwalk show art direction, she believes fashion is in actual fact wearable art.

The collection is highly versatile and diverse. It is episodic yet integrated, free-flowing in structure, featuring a range of highly contrasted moods, colour, and tonality. The goal was to create a somewhat moving art piece. It is different, and we love different.

3. Duchess and Co

Duchess and Co’s Spring Summer ‘19 Collection is inspired by the mysterious secret garden. Being the collection to mark the revamp of the brand, the designers poured their heart and soul into creating the collection from scratch, even the materials to create designs are more elevated, intricate and fashion-forward!

4. Laguna Sydney

Laguna Sydney is once again bringing the bohemian mood to 2019’s Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week. The lineup for this years show is keyed in on that free-spirited look of the moment, creating silhouettes so ethereal that it’s out of this world. Pretty and precise, with just the right amount of elegance and bravery will tell a story the fashion world is waiting on.

5. Zaimi Zulkafli

Zaimi Zulkafli’s collection will be all about wearable timeless luxuries, being feminine yet unfussy. Just the right amount of sophistication for that heart-pounding second to remember for a lifetime. Modern but never cold, fantastical but always rational.
The exceptional fabrics and flawless detail strike the perfect balance of refinement and sensuality. The show tells a tale of the struggle between good and evil as experienced based on a fairy tale story.
