Let’s face it, one of the many reasons on how we choose our smartphones is based on the quality of its camera…
We live in an era where technology is always being innovated and improved on, it’s so hard to keep track. But these compactable conveniences have sent certain products into decline, like cameras.
And although they’re a lot heavier, there are things that a good camera, such as the ones on Camera Rental Milwaukee, can do that your smartphones can’t.
1. Sentimental Value
Back when pictures only came in limited films, it meant a lot more to capture the perfect memory-shot. Cameras were only something that was brought out during special occasions. If you still have those old photos and you want to post them on your social media accounts, you may get in touch with a company like EverPresent for they can create high-quality digital copies of the pictures.
Now, a simple smartphone can store thousands of photos including scripted and perfectly-planned ones too. But because there’s no process other than a ‘snap and pose’, we tend to forget to be appreciative of how far we’ve come with technology.
2. Subpar Definition
Let’s face it, our iPhones, Androids, Xiaomis have great cameras, but there are certain corners these smartphones just can’t seem to cut.
For example: zooming-in, it’s always the same grainy quality and even the tiniest of zoom-pinching you do, the quality is always compromised. But with a camera, it takes a lot more than just a pinch to achieve a zoomed-in grainy quality.
3. Full control
With smartphones, you have most of the settings given and curated by the creators for you. But with a camera, you have the aperture, mode, and white balance to customize. The power is literally in your hands, to create the vision that you desire.
Although smartphones do provide a great array of settings, let’s be honest, do you use all of their filters or lighting-modes, other than your 2 favorite ones? It’s not versatile enough.
4. Back To Basics
Filters, fonts and pretty backgrounds are definitely a big eye-capture on photos. But this seems to be a chasing-trend, where we wait for the perfect background provided by cafes and other beautiful places. And also very expensive, one pretty background is just one temporary fill until the next place comes.
Sometimes all it takes is a simple setting, a neutral backdrop/background, perfect lighting, and good camera equipment to get the perfect shot. ‘Quality over quantity’ isn’t a saying that’s thrown around in conversations. Let the device do the job for you, not you for it.
5. Convenience KILLS
Now don’t moan and whine, but convenience does kill. It kills the experience, the essence of creating the perfect-shot, and the intention. Taking pictures is about capturing a time in your life, or a time in existence that is worth keeping.
Most professional photographers will tell you that they don’t naturally find the perfect place to shoot their best photos, you have to earn it through multiple trial and error.
All this makes us want to get a camera of our own, and we know just which one we’re going for too!
