It’s time we learn to cultivate the habit of recycling before our beautiful country turns into a wasteland. Truth to be told, recycling is easier than you think. Here are 5 items you never knew could actually be recycled and where you can drop them:
1. Empty Cosmetic Containers
Ladies, we know it’s hard to part ways with your favourite make-up products. But, whether it is empty make-up packaging or expired make-up products, it is way more better to have it recycle than to hoard it at home. 3. E-waste
We’ve all been there and done that- not knowing what to do with our used laptop batteries, old laptops, chips and even hard drives, thinking it could come in handy some time down the road (which never happen, ever). Good news for you, because you can recycle e-wastes as well! You can recycle them at:

- iCYCLE Malaysia
Segregate your waste at home, and earn points when you recycle with iCYCLE! All you need to do is to register as a member and a customized iCYCLE barcode sticker will be posted to you for you to paste it onto your recycle bags/boxes. Find out more info at their website here.
These plastic bottles are collected by manufacturers and turn them into coastal and marine recycled plastic textiles which can be used to create clothes, accessories and furniture pieces.

5. Cigarette Waste
TerraCycle actually has a recycling program that recycles cigarettes butts! The cigarette waste is recycled to make industrial products like plastic pallets and compost. What a great example for Malaysia to follow!
