Here are some thought provoking lessons from the movie:

While it’s easier said than done, our Asian culture and upbringing doesn’t really emphasize a lot on apologizing. Truth to be told, saying sorry is an act of liberation which will free oneself from the bondage of guilt. It definitely takes a whole lot of courage but it’ll do you good more than anything else. Practice them; they’re part and parcel of mending relationships.
2. There is no villain in this world, just that the bad situations which force them to turn evil

Every child is born innocent but under circumstances that he/she has no control over. The environment that one is brought up are among the crucial factors which will mold one’s personality. Sometimes, only those with a strong mind can resist oneself from doing bad deeds.
3. Instead of feeling infuriated during trying times, it’s easy for us not think logically, but you may figure your way out simply by changing your perspectives

This is a classic example of mind over matter. When we’re too caught up by our emotions, we can easily lose focus to find a solution to our situation. More often than not, the answer can be found only when we change our perspectives.
4. Speak the truth and the truth only

In life, we’ve seen people who tell lies after lies to a point where they too can’t tell if they’re living in light or in the lies they’ve created. Speak the truth. As the saying goes, truth will prevail, and only the truth will set you free.
5. Mend relationships with your family

There was a scene in the movie where the hero was not able to apologize to his father, which caused him to live in pain and misery. Family members are people who were placed into our lives against our choice, so conflicts are common within the household. However, blood is always thicker than water; while it takes a lot to put up with family members who have differing characters. Learn to listen; seek first to understand, then be understood. Compromise; it takes two to tango. Apologize; it’s helps your relationship to go. Plus, we don’t want to live a life with regrets, do we?
6. Sometimes, parting ways is unavoidable. Keep the faith and believe that you’ll meet each other again

There are seasons for everything in life; some people were placed in our lives for a purpose. Once the purpose is served, so as their time in our lives. So, do not be upset if relationship ends because the end of something is always the beginning of another chapter. Plus, perhaps some time down the road, you’ll meet each other again.
