People often say that 30 is the new 20. But how true is that? While some people achieve certain milestones in life quicker than their peers, there’s no definite comparative measurement for success from one person to another. Nonetheless, there are certain things that one ought to try out before turning 25 because it might help you to discover a little more about yourself.
P/S: If you’ve over a quarter century young but have not try any of these, it doesn’t make you any less as a person. Remember, you’re never too old to try something new at any stage in life 🙂
1) Master 3 of your favorite recipes
Learn the recipe so that you don’t have to rely on anyone to whip out a decent meal for yourself. This is especially helpful when you’re invited to a potluck party, or a bonus skills to impress your potential partner.
2) Explore a foreign land, all by yourself
Learn to appreciate your own company and test your independence by going to somewhere new, all by yourself. You might make a new friend or two in the process of self discovery.
3) Cultivate a habit to exercise
Make yourself exercise regularly, it can be any sort of activities which suits your lifestyle, such as yoga, swimming, jogging, or hiking. It’s important to exercise to keep our mind fresh and sharp.
4) Learn something new every now and then
Improves yourself by learning something new. It can be music instruments, drawing, flower arranging, coffee art etc. Learn your favorite skill and turn them into your hobby. Hobbies can help us to express our inner emotions better and who knows, you might get some extra allowance from your new found interest.
5) Get a job which makes you happy
By the age of 25, most people have started their 1st or 2nd job. Pick something you love so that you won’t feel like you’re actually working at all.
6) Develop a habit for reading
“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.”
Reading can help to reduce stress and allows you to relax. A good story will brings you to another realm.
