But just when we think 2019 was great, wait till you see what’s coming up in 2020 with Disney’s recently released film schedule.
Here are 9 blockbuster Disney films that we can’t wait for!
1. New Set of Star Wars Film
Game of Thrones creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, are set to create three new set of new Star Wars films that will premiere during the Christmas weekends on December 16, 2022, December 20, 2024 and December 18, 2026.
2. Back-to-Back Avatar Films
One of the highest-grossing film of all-time, Disney confirms that one new Avatar movie will be released every two years starting 2021. The new Avatar sequels is expected to dive deeper into newer environments into the Pandora oceans. The four sequels will be premiering on December 17, 2021, December 22, 2023, December 19, 2025 and December 17, 2027.
3. Five New Releases from Pixar
Expect not just one new film from Pixar, the upcoming Onward starring Tom Holland and Chris Patt (releasing on March 6, 2020), but multiple new films which its name will remain a mystery to us until few months before the release. Two more new Pixar films will be released on 2020, one on 2021 and two on 2022.
4. New Disney Live-Action Remake Movies
Disney just announced that there will be 9 additional live-action movies (4 in 2021, 4 in 2022 and 1 in 2023) on top of their upcoming projects and their release dates: Aladdin (May 25, 2019), The Lion King (July 19, 2019), Mulan (March 27, 2020) and Cruella (December 23, 2020).
5. Marvel Studios’ Phase 4 Starting 2020
Although release dates for the specific post-Endgame series are still unknown, but we can expect to have 2 Marvel Phase 4 movies on 2020, 3 movies on 2021, and 3 movies on 2022. Check out our list of Marvel’s Phase 4 movies here.
6. Indiana Jones 5
Harrison Ford and Steven Spielberg’s Indiana Jones 5 is confirmed to be released on July 21 2021 after its delay in 2020.
7. Kingsman 3
FOX’s third Kingsman confirms to be released on February 2, 2020.
8. Artemis Fowl
A Disney adaption to the Artemis Fowl series, initially set to be released on 2019 is now confirmed to premier on May 29, 2020.
9. Fox’s The New Mutants
Fox’s horror movie The New Mutants is set to be released on April 3, 2020 after multiple delays.
