It was previously reported that Krasinski will be officially writing the script for the sequel, but unclear if he would return as the director.
Now, it looks like the man himself has solidify his return to direct the movie when he posted this on Instagram.
Krasinski cryptically teased an image of the Abbott’s family house to pretty much confirm his return behind the camera for the sequel along with its release date, 15th May 2020.
A report from The Hollywood Reporter claims that Emily, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe are in talks to reprise their roles in the upcoming sequel.
The producers of the original film, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form are reportedly on board as well.
Grossed $340 million at the global box office last year, the film has won several awards, including the Screen Actors Guild Award for Emily Blunt in the supporting actress category last month.
More details regarding A Quiet Place 2 will most likely to be revealed in the coming months.
We can’t wait to see what the Abbott family will face in the sequel and what Krasinski has in store for us!
