The past week is never quite the same for Malaysian girls and of Muslim faith who grew up playing with Barbie dolls.
A mere 1 year into its existence and operations have seen local brand The dUCK Group rose to be a force to be reckoned with not only within Malaysia but also on a global scale. The dUCK Group is also well-known for their collaborations with famous brands and personalities such as Swarovski, Sephora, Crazy Rich Asian the movie, just to name a few.
The dUCK Group, which is also helm by the co-founders of FashionValet, Vivy Yusof and Fadza Anuar, has been dropping hints over the past week on their collaboration that is about to change many little girls’ lives, forever.

Honestly speaking, this is perhaps one of the best collaborations that has ever happened with locally-breed brands. Not only that Barbie / Mattel Group is one of the most well-recognized brands IN THE WORLD, the reason behind this collaboration carries significant meaning to many.

First, Vivy Yusof (and dUCK) were selected in the whole of Malaysia for Barbie’s worldwide Women of Inspiration Campaign. This is the best sort of recognition that every girl could ever dream of. Of course hats off to Vivy Yusof for being one of the hardest working entrepreneur despite being heavily pregnant with her 3rd child. We couldn’t think of any better person to represent Malaysia.
Second, it is a huge leap forward especially to empower young girls of this generation to dream big and embrace diversity. As how Yusof has perfectly word it: “To accept others that may have different beliefs, appearances and culture than them”.
Thirdly, isn’t it awesome for Malaysia to be known in a better light? Think about it. There are tonnes of scarfs-making businesses in the whole wide world but to choose a Malaysian brand for this representation is definitely an honor and privilege for Malaysians #tumpangglamour
Sevenpie wishes The dUCK Group a heartfelt congratulations for achieving such significant recognition and success. We cannot wait for more awesome collaborations to come!
What do you think about this? Let us know!
*Update: dUCK has also recently collaborated with Disney. Say wutttt!
