Disney fans, Singapore is calling out to you to head over to their Art and Science Museum!
From 26 October 2019 to 29 March 2020, the Art and Science Museum in Singapore will be taking you through a journey with your cherished Disney animated films and stories of 90 years.
Disney classics include movies like The Lion King, Steamboat Willie (1928), Snow White and Seven Dwarfs (1937), and even the never additions like Zootopia and Moana!
Take a walk down memory lane and discover the magic and inspirations behind your favorite Disney animations. You’ll get an experience of artworks, projections, 3D – sets that you can use upon.
There will be a wealth of art to be spoiled with – 500 pieces of arts by Disney artists – from drawings, sketches, storyboards to concept arts, all from the vault of the Walt Disney Animation Research Libraries. It will be a rare opportunity for you to see this work of art, as they are off-limits to the public. Works included are the Animator’s Desk – where animators spent hours working and perfecting the animation.
Not only artworks will be on display – 3D artworks for you to step on and experience will also be there!
Five galleries are waiting to be explored – and it’s not just Princesses. From The Animators Desk – the birthplace where animators spend hours perfecting every frame and illustration to get the best story. There’s also a photo booth of Steamboat Willie – the beginnings of Mickey and Minnie.
Among the animations that will be included are Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, Zootopia, Frozen, and the highly anticipated Frozen 2. In the spirit of keeping with the style of Art Science Museum, you will experience projections, audiovisual displays and alluring exhibits that will take you to the world of Disney!
