‘FamilyMart Mini’ dispenses fresh Onigiri, Sando, snacks and more
What is your favourite FamilyMart item? Is it the Oden, Sofuto, or Sando that you’re looking for? And then it will end up with us getting almost every single thing on the shelf. Whenever we are hungry and in hunt for a supper, we would drop by this Japanese convenient store. Sometimes it’s a great place to hangout with friends and family too. That’s how much we love FamilyMart.
Making it even more convenient for patrons to grab a bite of their Onigiri, Sandos and desserts, FamilyMart Malaysia just dropped their very first smart kiosk vending machine that is loaded with these goodies. The first vending machines dispensing your favourite FamilyMart goodies is located at Shell Station Karak Highway 2. Currently there is only one smart kiosk but they promise that there will be more locations coming soon!

Besides their various options of Sandos and Onigiris, there are other pastries such as sausage rolls, buns, and Hanjuku Cheese to pick from too. And if you’re thirsty, you may also find cold beverages, such as bottled milk tea and lattes, as well as yoghurt drinks!

What makes this so convenient is we no longer need to dig around for cash and struggle with machines not accepting certain notes. Because FamilyMart Mini is a smart kiosk, everything is contactless and cashless, as the machine accepts credit and debit cards, and also e-wallet payments.
The smart kiosk is self-operated, yet it won’t be difficult to use because it functions similarly to other vending machines. What you need to do is to select what you want, pay for your item, then pick them up below. Easy isn’t it?
