Aside from the roaring excitement for the upcoming Good Vibes 2019 music fest, the Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF) will also be happening this July! To be exact, it’s happening this week!
The RWMF will be held on the 12th – 14th July 2019. Listed as one of the top 25 music festivals by SONGLiNES, RWMF brings you diverse music, celebrating the traditional heritage of Sarawak and other nations. Here are 6 things you can look forward at RWMF:
1. Drift off into the sounds of nature
It will be a music experience like no other. Located at the foot of the mythical Mount Santubong, you’d be enjoying your music while being surrounded with the lush Borneo jungle at RWMF.
2. 30 Nationalities, 1 Music
Over 200 performers from 30 countries around the world will be performing at the RWMF! From as far as Madagascar to our own local bands, it can’t get any more diverse than this!

3. Get exposed to the local culture in Sarawak!
The music concert isn’t the only thing to look forward to at the RWMF! “Mini Sessions” will be held throughout the RWMF where you’d be immersed into the traditional storytelling of the tales of Sarawak.
4. Fun & interactive workshops
Learn to play the Sape or do the Joget dance at RWMF! There will be no other better teachers other than learning it from the locals! Check out their full list of programme here.
5. Get a taste of Borneo
The Sarawak Asia Kitchen will also make an appearance at the RWMF, bringing you the taste of Borneo like never before! Tip: eat like the local tribes to get the best experience out of it!
6. Traditional arts and crafts bazaar under one roof
Experience traditional Sarawak arts and crafts at the “Rainforest World Crafts Bazaar”. From Batik Painting to Wood Cutting techniques, you’d be able to make handcrafted traditional goods hands-on!
