Justice League is a mixed bag.
2 years ago, Justice League was released and received mixed reviews. Viewers praise the action sequences and performances (particularly of Gal Gadot and Ezra Miller) but criticized the writing, pacing, plot and the villain- which is almost everything else in the movie.

Superman’s mouth was completely CGI!
Since the release of the film, many fans have felt dissatisfied with the theatrical cut and believed that a “Snyder Cut” exists. They believe that the theatrical cut was not Zack Snyder’s vision.
This is true because Zack Snyder shot Justice League and was in the middle of editing the film when his daughter committed suicide. He stepped down from his duties to be with his family. Warner felt that his cut was “unwatchable” of over 3h30 mins, and felt that the film was grim, humorless and dark tone would not succeed. Following the critical failure of Batman Vs Superman, Warner was anxious to keep dark, humorless tone out of DC films.
To lighten things up, Warner hired Avengers: Age of Ultron director Joss Whedon to reshoot scenes.
Whedon rewrote the script and did some reshoots. Two months of extensive reshoot took place in mid-2017. According to Variety, the reshoots caused headaches among the casts and crews, particularly Henry Cavill who was shooting Mission Impossible: Fallout. He was obligated to keep his mustache, and Paramount refused to CGI-removed it. As a result, Warner digitally removed his mustache for $25mil!
With that being the most criticized flaw of The Justice League. The script, portrayal of Wonder Woman was also criticized as “over-sexualized”. Many of the scenes in the trailer were also missing.
Fans have been long campaigning for the Snyder cut to be released. In San Diego Comic-Con 2019, fans hired a plane to fly a sign saying #ReleaseTheSnyderCut. They have also raised funds for a billboard, in which the rest goes to suicide prevention and mental health care.
On the second anniversary of the film’s release, the hashtag #ReleaseTheSnyderCut was trending worldwide. Fans have been campaigning hard for long, and on the second anniversary, their movement gained momentum as the cast join the bandwagon. Gal Gadot, Ben Affleck and Ray Fisher have tweet support for it.

It remains to be seen whether Warner Bros. will release the Snyder cut. However, given the scale of the movement and the involvement of the actors, they are in a very delicate position. We’ll stay tune of any word from Warner. The plea from fans, actors, and famous people should make them announce something.
