The simple yet minimalistic sneaker is reportedly in the works.
Following the previous Prada x Adidas partnership that drove many fashionistas and sneaker lovers to go wild, the sportswear and fashion giant is reportedly teaming up with another popular name in celebration of its 50th anniversary for its best-selling Superstar model.
And now, the brand will be collaborating with the legendary American hip-hop group, Run-DMC!
The shoes will be offered in 3 colorways.
Good news to minimalists! According to many sources and news shared by users on social media, the Run-DMC x Adidas Superstar 50th anniversary model will arrive in 3 colorways: black, white, and a combination of the two.
An Adidas logo and the face of the late Jam Master Jay sporting the iconic fedora can be found on the tongue, while the Superstar branding atop the signature 3 Stripes is presented with two red bands as an ode to the group’s logo.
One team, one dream.
Based on the group’s taste in Adidas fashion, they kick in their sneakers laceless, which might be a tease that the shoes may be designed in an easy-to-wear, shoelace-less manner.
The reported collaboration marks the third time that the two names will be working together, following the previous Adidas Superstar 80 25th anniversary and the 35th anniversary packs.
According to online sources, the Run-DMC x Adidas Superstar 50th anniversary will drop this April for $150 USD each which is around RM 615 ringgit per pair!
