A divorce was filed because Fattah Amin had cheated on Fazura with a different woman.
Malaysian actress Fazura Sharifuddin, 40, filed for divorce from her husband of seven years, actor Fattah Amin, 34, on Friday (September 13). Fazura’s lawyer filed a divorce suit in the Petaling Syariah Court. No explanations were given for the divorce.
Fazura shared a mysterious picture of herself on her Instagram profile after filing for divorce, along with a quotation from renowned poet Rumi that said, “It’s your road and yours alone; others may walk it with you, but no one can walk it for you.”
An individual claiming to be a member of the Fazura staff turned to social media to warn the woman that she was the reason of the couple’s breakup. The man threatened to have the woman cease fabricating claims and claimed to have video proof of her misdeeds and “immoral activities.”
The woman was warned by the actress’ bodyguard to “stop playing victim” and stop making up claims, expressing his anger and disappointment over the situation.
In an interview with Malaysian news source Harian Metro on Saturday, Fattah stated that he only learnt about the divorce suit through social media.
“When I heard the news, I was quite stunned and devastated. “I still love Fazura,” he stated.
Fattah responded to accusations that he had been disloyal to Fazura, saying, “I would like to emphasise that there is no other woman in my life, despite rumours on social media.”
He went on to say that he wants the difficulties surrounding him and Fazura to be “solved nicely and peacefully”.
Since then, a number of well-known people have left encouraging remarks on Fazura’s article, including Fasha Sandha and Nora Danish, who both filed for divorce this year.
Following months of rumors that the two were experiencing marital problems due to their lack of social media interaction, Fazura and Fattah announced their divorce. After getting hitched in November 2017, Fazura and Fattah are parents to a daughter who is four years old.
