From relative rise to skyrocketing global phenomenon, South Korean girl group NewJeans has swiftly ascended to superstardom in just over a year.
Following the footsteps of their successful K-entertainment counterparts, the group’s marketing team is gearing up for their next venture: the NewJeans x McDonald’s collaboration meal.
Following the pattern of previous triumphant McDonald’s meal collaborations like the BTS meal, this partnership with NewJeans promises unique packaging designs on food and beverage containers. These designs will prominently feature the group’s signature bunny mascot intertwined with McDonald’s icon ‘M’ logo, symbolizing the fusion of both brands.
The NewJeans x McDonald’s meal will be available in two variations: one featuring a Spicy Crispy Chicken burger and the other a Spicy Crispy Chicken Wrap. Both options come with a side of fries, which can be upgraded with seaweed seasoning, and a beverage.
Beyond the food and merchandise, fans can participate in what’s been coined as the NewJeans Chicken Dance. This engaging campaign encourages fans to showcase their own take on the choreography via social media.
For those unfamiliar with NewJeans, this South Korean girl group was formed in July 2022 under the music label ADOR. Currently, the group consists of five talented members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. Their music is heavily influenced by the smooth rhythms of pop and R&B from the 1990s. They achieved widespread popularity with the release of their single album, “OMG,” featuring tracks like “Ditto” and the titular “OMG.”
