1. He’s a self-taught guitarist
Post Malone taught himself how to play the guitar by playing Guitar Hero 3 and then moving on to watching YouTube videos of people playing AC/DC and Metallica, Post also claims to have “five star on everything on expert mode” on Guitar Hero 3. Post Malone has stated that he had wished to become a musician since the age of 12. Now, years later we can totally see his guitar skills paying off in songs such as “Feeling Whitney” from his Debut Stoney Album and “Stay” from his recent 2018 release “Beerbongs and Bentleys”.
2. He has a humble start in his career
Post Malone moved to LA with his friend when he was 18 and had to “freeload”, even admitting that he would go into the truck of his friend’s car and lift up the covers to see if there was any chance for him to find. Postie often had to sleep on couches and even slept in a closet for some time as he was trying to break into the music industry. Although it wasn’t under the stairs, Harry Potter did sleep in a closet as well. Now I’m not saying that Post Malone knows magic, but I’m not saying he doesn’t either.
3. He has made it and isn’t afraid to enjoy the fruit of his labour
Post Malone is the epitome of Rags to Riches, from sleeping to a closet to ballin in his “92 explorer”, he even made a song about it in his new album “Beerbongs and Bentleys”. From freeloading to having multiple cars and living in a house with a BudLight fridge, that gets restocked by Budlight by the way, how cool is that? Post even went as far to making sure that his new crib has a pool because his girlfriend wanted it and later laughed when asked if he has used the pool and said “No, she never used it either”.
4. He’s vulnerable and he isn’t afraid to show it
Post had his heart broken just like the rest of us. In his debut album Stoney, Post showed a more sensitive side of him in songs such as “Feeling Whitney” and “I Fall Apart” which definitely talked about the girl that left him. A few years later, we can still see her influence as songs in “Beerbongs and Bentleys” also included some slower jams with sick beats and lit lyrics such as “Rich and Sad”, “Stay”, “Better now” “Otherside” and “Blame it on me”. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to be the one who broke his heart, although in a way we do have to thank her, because else we wouldn’t have these wonderful tracks. Stay strong Post Malone!
5. He’s a Belieber
Post is BFFs with Justin Bieber. That’s right. My man Post Malone is good friends with Justin Bieber after being invited to go on Justin’s 2016 Purpose tour. The two became fast friends and it was evident when Justin suddenly facetimed Post while he was doing a podcast on the H3H3 Podcast with Ethan and Hila. Post stopped the podcast mid way to greet his buddy and even told Justin to get more rest and stay safe but not before ending the call with a cheeky “I love you”. Now isn’t that just sweet?
