Actress and singer Selena Gomez has officially joined the celebrity beauty club!
Inspired by her latest album Rare, Selena Gomez aspired to launch a beauty line back in August 2019 and now we finally know it’s official! Rare Beauty is coming to Sephora this summer and it’s actively searching for authentic stories for an upcoming campaign!

With more than 169 million followers, Gomez seeks to influence authentically and have launch its first #WeAreRare community call on the 27th of February. In a press release, Selena Gomez brought up her purpose of running this campaign: “Rare Beauty aims to find beauty in what society considers ‘imperfect’ and build a community that shapes conversation around beauty, self-acceptance, and mental health issues”

“Every type of human – however you look, however you love – is welcome” says Gomez. “Ultimately, I hope it’s a safe place where people can chat, have fun and support each other” Ultimately, #WeAreRare asks fan to share their personal experience on what makes them feel “rare” in their Instagram story. The participants will also be asked to reveal their Sephora Color IQ to help shade-match them to Rare Beauty products. The brand will shortlist 50 lucky community participants, selected by Gomez and her team on March 9 to be featured in the upcoming campaign.

We have no more details about the beauty line just yet but according to a professional patent litigation lawyer from the U.S Patent and Trademark Office, a number of beauty products have been trademarked, including “fragrances, cosmetics, skin care preparations, hair care preparations, soaps, moisturizers and essential oils.” The star has also been wearing bright and bold lipsticks in shades of pink, red and maroon on recent red carpets and TV appearances! Well, we have to wait till this summer to know more!
