Sneakerheads rejoice!
The biggest sneaker event in Malaysia (if not largest in Asia) is back for the 4th year! But don’t worry, even non sneakerheads can enjoy the event laaah. SneakerLAH is an annual event that draws in huge crowds of, you guessed it… Sneakerheads! The Event will be held at Mid Valley Exhibition Hall this year on the 6th and 7th October 2018! That’s like, this weekend yo!
But what is SneakerLAH?! For those that are less immersed in the sneakers culture, this might even be the first time you’re hearing of the event and that’s okay! Maybe you can start by asking around people in your social circle and you’re guaranteed to find a few people who will tell you that they’re attending the event! That’s how huge this event is! Speaking about huge, this year’s SneakerLAH will be largest event so far!
SneakerLAH is an event that was started by a Mr. Brian Chin (aka the Godfather of Sneakers) who quit his job as a real estate agent to work in a sneaker store. He was remarked by his family as “mad” but he explained how the move made sense for him saying “It was then that I understood the saying ‘money can’t buy you happiness’ “ and later “ I was already spending all my money on sneaker, so why not spend my time among them too”. While he was working in the sneakers store, he started a blog to introduce new shoes that have arrived at the store. But when his bosses found out, instead of getting mad, they ended up investing his blog and have since expanded masses to include a magazine.
I guess the rest is history LAH.
During the event, they’ll be tons of things to do even for those who are just getting into the culture, such as panels that discuss about shoe culture and trends and lucky draws. Many new brands and even powerhouses like Puma, Vans, Sketchers, Converse will be at the show. From what we’ve gathered, all booths within the 70,000 sqft event space were snatched up so there’s definitely A LOT to see and do. So real fun begins when you walk around the event space and look at all your average joes having fun interacting with each other and heck, you might even join in for a picture or two!

With early bird prices as low as RM 15 for 2 days admission or a VIP pass that is going for only RM50! That gives you access to features such as VIP lane, exclusive early entry to the venue 2 hours before the event starts so you can beat the crowd, and even a fancy SneakerLAH lanyard that’s worth quite some hype!
The event will start on 6th October to 7th October in Mid Valley Megamall as the largest SneakerLAH event so far.
