It’s the time of the year! The time where most of us attend reunion dinners either in the kampung or the city, we’re all bound to face the same questions, especially if we’re single. “Got boyfriend ah? Got girlfriend ah? Aiyo so old already faster get leh”. Annoying, no?
But life is hard and things don’t really go our way sometimes and we also don’t wanna disappoint them soooooo what if I told you there was a better way?
Instead of heading back home to a ton of questions, why not do it the smarter way by renting a partner this Chinese New Year?!
That’s right! What started off as a joke back in 2016 turns out to be real! With big names such as Lazada hinting that there’ll be partners for rent for CNY, to your own friends posting their rate and skills, such as being acting like a good person and making conversation with your parents for extra of course.
Twitter and Facebook seems like great places to find for these partners, but it’s important to remember that this is a joke no matter what, so don’t do anything illegal! But on that note, is anyone looking for a boyfriend to rent?
While it’s easy to say that the older generation is asking a lot of questions, bear in mind that they just want the best for you in the ways they know how or in the ways that worked for them, and that means to find a partner, a stable job and start a family.
While it could be too much at times, remember that Chinese New Year is a time for everyone to spend time with their families, so enjoy your time with the family. If it get’s unbearable though, rent a partner. 🙂
