Memes come and go, but they act of meme-ing will always stay. At least as long as the Internet exists.
It’s hard to keep track of all the memes that exist as they keep coming in rapid fire. Here are a few of the best memes of the year 2020 so far.

The Instagram filter story trend was a HUUUGE thing. For those who don’t know it’s an interactive face camera filter that tells you things like which Pokemon you are based on. There were other custom effects dupes like ‘Which Sailor Moon Character are you?’ or ‘Which Disney character are you?’

Renegade, the MUST-DO TikTok that you can never miss. It was first performed by a 14-year-old dancer from Atlanta, Jalaiah Harmon during the month of September 2019 on Instagram, but it soon migrated to other apps like TikTok by the end of the year.

It was the most satisfying Oscars in years primarily due to Korean filmmaker Bong Joon Ho who is the director of Parasite which made historic victories in categories like Best Picture and Best Director. When accepting his first award, he was staring at his Oscar in awe while his producer was giving his speech. He even kissed his Oscars twice.

Billie Eilish was very confused during this year’s Oscars and as you can see, the millennials started using her reaction as a meme.
