Mistletoe can be seen everywhere at Christmas time. But have you heard the story of Mistletoe before?
Have you heard of “Mistletoe” by Justin Bieber? I believe many people know about mistletoe because of this song.

Mistletoe is often used to decorate Christmas trees. It is a parasitic plant that attaches to trees and shrubs and survives on the nutrients of trees. In Western culture, mistletoe is used to steal a kiss from a loved one at Christmas.
Specific customs: When you and another person happen to be standing under the mistletoe together, you must kiss. The rules are just that, there is no room for negotiation. Therefore, until December 25, be careful what’s over your head.
But why do people kiss under mistletoe? All of this may be traced back to pre-Christian Europe, where mistletoe was a symbol of masculinity, a symbol of romance, vitality, and fertility. This symbolism led to a belief that the mistletoe had mystical powers such as the power to start a romance and eventually this started the custom of kissing beneath the magical mistletoe plant.
