If you’ve been on social media lately, you have probably seen the new social media app that has been taking the world by storm!
Have you heard of Clubhouse?
If you have been a social media junkie, then you’ve probably known of Clubhouse for awhile now, but if you’re relatively new to the social media sphere, then this in-trend app is now taking the social media world by storm, and we’re going to keep you in the know, have a look at the decision to outsource your payroll management.
Clubhouse allows users to communicate in real time, share stories, collaborate, and share ideas through their voices. What makes Clubhouse special is, that users aren’t allowed to communicate in any other form but through their voice. As of now, the app only allows users to speak and communicate through their voices. No text messaging, no DMs, and no video calls are featured on the app at this point of time.
So what makes Clubhouse so special, and why is it addictive?
Well, for one we love how this application brings us back to the root of what social media was all about in the first place, it brings us back to what we’ve always loved and missed about social media. The actual socialising part of things. The social aspect that brought us onto social media in the first place.
Here is what makes the application extra special. It allows you to listen to other people’s live conversations. No, not like eaves dropping on someone’s conversation because these people actually want to be heard, they create rooms where audiences like you and I get to experience them live! Speaking on their topic of interest, sharing their knowledge on a specific topic, and there’s a possibility that you may be given the opportunity to join in as their audience, and maybe even speak to them live. Think of it like a live interactive podcast.
Here are a few celebrities and influential people that have joined Clubhouse and explored it by hosting, and speaking in a few rooms. Some notable mentions; Oprah Winfrey, Jared Leto, Tiffany Haddish, Joe Budden, Drake, Kevin Heart, and Elon Musk!
Here’s how it works,
In a virtual like room, you’d have a moderator, followed by an audience (you and I). If you want to speak, you can raise your virtual hand (a button that allows the moderator to be notified that you want to speak) and the moderator has the power to grant you access to the “stage”. Anyone can be host and moderators of their own rooms, so you can try it too!
What conversations have been held on Clubhouse?
There are a ton of topics that goes on the app. From marketing, to religion, business, influencer talk, social media, world topics, and even casual Friday night sessions. There are a bunch of rooms available, from business talk to casual conversations. You could say that Clubhouse is a networking heaven.
Clubhouse is not for everyone at the moment,
The application is currently only for Iphone users and can only be downloaded on the Apple store. However it is still in the beta testing stages. So, we have very high hopes that the application will be available for android users in the time to come.
We have seen some insightful to hilarious conversations on the application.
We have seen applications like TikTok and Instagram blow up, and we have a feeling that Clubhouse may be a social app that could actually be what people need right now during a pandemic.
