It’s here, Hixtape is finally here.
J-Hope, also known as Jung Ho-Seok, one of the rappers of Korean pop boy band – BTS, has recently released a mixtape with 7 solo tracks and ARMYs are losing their minds.
The rapper and dancer has stated in an interview with PeopleTV that one of his life goals is to release a mixtape. After that interview was released, saying that ARMYs were looking forward to it was an understatement.

After several months for waiting and hoping (pun intended), J-Hope’s Mixtape, appropriately nicknamed Hixtape by ARMYs and called Hope World, was debuted on March 2nd.
An overload of tweets, Instagram posts, Facebook post and more were uploaded along with several hashtags like #HIXTAPEisComing, #HOPEWORLDMixtapeOutNow and #DaydreamMVoutnow.
In addition to the 7-track mixtape, ARMYs were spoiled with a music video for the lead single, “Daydream”. Colorful, bright, loud and bold – exactly like J-Hope. “Daydream” shows a new side to the star instead of his conventional animated rap verses. Dubbed a house-inspired production, J-Hope showcases a low-bass timbre of a singing style as well as a cool and collected rap flow.

The boys of BTS celebrated the release of the Hixtape by posting a selfie of RM, Jin and J-Hope as well as Jin asking about the food in the “Daydream” video. Typical worldwide handsome.

The BTS boys teased the Mixtape several times on Twitter, giving ARMYs a taste of Hope World and needless to say, the anticipation was killing us.
This is the 3rd solo mixtape from the ‘Billboard singer’ boy band, following BTS leader RM’s release in 2015 and Suga’s Agust D tape in 2016.
“Daydream” MV has more than 8 million views and the numbers are still going up. Hixtape has hit number one on the top-selling album charts in over 60 countries on iTunes. It is available on Spotify and Soundcloud as well. You can even download the mixtape for free from Big Hit!
Hope World is the first music release by BTS in 2018 and it’s looking hopeful that more will be coming real soon!
