The e-hailing market is expanding since the pandemic has started and it’s super convenient for us to go wherever we want but do you know the options we have in Malaysia?
Let’s take a look at e-hailing options available in Malaysia:
1. Grab
We can’t start off this list with any other platform, Grab has been in Malaysia for ten years now and remains the most popular to date.
2. InDriver
This new application is becoming a more popular option due to its unique nature in being able to bargain the prices. Most e-hailing services have a set price given, but inDriver has the option for you to choose your own fare, which may either be accepted by drivers, or they can propose another fare to you. This allows you to bargain prices and have more control over what you pay.
3. AirAsia
AirAsia has broadened its range of services significantly over the past couple of years, and one of its newest services offered is e-hailing services. Whilst this may seem unusual, it is certainly helpful having another transport option available.
4. Kumpool
This e-hailing functions as a shuttle bus where you are able to book a seat. There are various stops where you can choose to be picked up and dropped off through the app for only RM1. This is different from a typical bus service as you are able to book your seat on the bus, and you can view the live location of the bus while you are waiting. However, this option is only available in the Subang area.
5. GOJO
GOJO works in the same way as most e-hailing services, but rides often cost lower than alternative services.
