It finally happened, with the MCU destroyed post Thanos we were all left to wonder, what now?
Well, the bad guys can’t win forever, right?
Since Captain Marvel is on her way, and part 2 of infinity war is in production we were all left to be calm and chill until things blow over. Then again we did have Ant Man and that OMG moment at the end (please watch It I wont spoil it).
Apparently, the heroes have been hard at work filming the currently filming the next movie, while untitled is known as “Avengers 4”. In fact, as soon as they wrapped up their shooting, we were hit with some sad news.

Last week, Chris Evans, who played Captain America has OFFICALLY hung up his Captain America shield (we meant role) when he revealed in a Tweet saying “ Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories! Eternally grateful.“ Chris Evans Tweeted.
After playing the role of America’s favourite defender and captain for 8 years, it seemed that it has finally come to an end, he also added “Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor”.
While this does spell the end for our beloved Captain American played by Chris Evans, this is not the end for the character as a whole. In the comics, Steve Rogers did pass the mantle over to other people and had others step up to the plate as Captain America, characters such as the Winter Soldier and Sam Wilson, not at the same time of course!
As we all say goodbye to a beloved character played by a beloved actor that we have all come to know and love, Even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tweeted out “What a run you had brother. Congrats on breathing life into such an iconic character. Keep on keepin’ on.”
With that, Chris Evans shall step away from the mantle that is Captain America, who knows what’s going to come next?
