Due to the effects of the Movement Control Order, we’re still allowed to go out to buy essentials and food but only the head of the family or a member of the family can be the one going out.
So no going out in pairs!
With the amount of stores that are changing their operation hours, it’s difficult for us to remember which store will close at what time. But fret not because we’ve listed 6 grocery and convenience stores in Klang Valley along with their operation hours!
1.AEON
AEON is always our go to as we see the it in malls like Sunway Pyramid, Mid Valley, etc. They sell various amounts of international imports. Due to the MCO, AEON is changing their operating hours to 8AM to 8PM except for Bandar Sunway and AEON Bandar Utama which will operate from 10AM to 8PM.
2.Tesco
Tesco is also changing their operating hours due to the outbreak and they are now operating from 8AM to 8PM for all outlets nationwide. There are a few outlets that accommodate longer operating hours, but here’s all the information you would need!
3.Village Grocer
Another grocery store that is also doing what they can during the outbreak is Village Grocer. According to the rules made by the government, the customers who enter Village Grocer will need to wear face masks and stay a social distance of 1 metre from each other. Check out their operating hours.
4.7-Eleven
7-Eleven is our go-to convenience store every time as they are our favourite. With the current Covid-19 outbreak, 7-Eleven is now operating from 7AM to 11PM but some of their outlets will close earlier.
5.AEON Big
AEON Big can be found almost everywhere and be seen from afar with their bright orange logo. With more than 20 outlets nationwide, AEON Big will be changing their operating hours from 8AM to 8PM. However, some of the outlets have different operating hours.
6.Giant
Giant is one of our OG neighbourhood grocery stores, which also provides us a wide variety of choices whether it is food or household items. Due to the outbreak, they are also changing their operating hours from 8AM to 8PM.
So here are a few grocery and convenience stores that you can shop at with their updated operating hours. Remember to only stock up on things that you need and DO NOT HOARD! Please think of the elderly, they also need their essentials.
