Lady Gaga hit the red carpet at Venice Film Festival looking fabulous to promote her upcoming movie Joker: Folie à Deux

At the 2024 Venice Film Festival, the 38-year-old multihyphenate closed down the red carpet on September 4 for the world premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she plays Harley Quinn.

Gaga looked appropriately glossy at the Italian event, where she walked the red carpet alongside her fiancé, Michael Polansky, the film’s director Todd Phillips, and costar Joaquin Phoenix. She looked amazing in a billowy black dress with a deep V-neck and voluminous skirt. Her sparkling lace Philip Treacy headdress was the focal point of her ensemble, though.

For dramatic effect, the lace garment obscured Gaga’s eyes and reached two places atop her head. When the singer lifted her skirt on the red carpet, her go-to platform boots—which also happened to be Tiffany & Co. jewelry—peeked out from below her dress.

“On the red carpet of her Gaga Chromatica Ball screening and dance party on May 23, I don’t want to give anything away from the movie,” she said to Access Hollywood. “My version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters.” “I think it’s really something you have to experience in the theater.”

“This film has music, it has dance, it has amazing acting in it,” she added. “I loved working with Joaquin, I loved working with director Todd Phillips. What I will say is that I’ve never done anything like I’ve done in this movie before, so it’s all going to be completely brand new and really fun.”
