Being in quarantine is already bad enough but can you imagine being confined to a small little space for over 24 hours?
A Malaysian who had to be quarantined in a hotel room for 14-days alone, shared her traumatising experience on social media that will soon leave us in a state of fear when entering a hotel bathroom.
A medical student by the Twitter username, @atieqahroslan80 came back to Malaysia from India and had to quarantine herself before going back home. On the 4th day she used the hotel bathroom but found herself locked in as the handle of the door malfunctioned.
Thank you for those who notice my sudden disapearance from the world.

After watching TV at around 10pm, Atieqah decided to head for a shower while leaving her phone behind. After her shower, she tried to exit the bathroom but the door wouldn’t open. After turning the handle, the medical student decided to ram the door, but luck was wasn’t in favour that night.
With no luck, she decided to get some sleep and planned to yell for help during her breakfast service the following morning.
To make things worst, the bathroom has no windows which resulted it the roof being extremely humid and hot. She started to overthink throughout the night. She even stated that she hoped the Covid-19 results was positive so the medical personnel would come looking for her in her room.

The next morning came, yelling for help, but no one heard her as her room was at the very end of the floor. Having left the TV on the day before, she could hear the azan on the TV, which gave her an idea of the time of day it was.
With over hours spent in the confined bathroom with no windows, no food, and no way out, she started to get anxiety attacks. She even started to hallucinate to the point of banging the door with a metal object and even leaving a will on the bathroom mirror fearing she might die by the time she was found. She heard the doorbell and her room’s phone ringing multiple times as someone came looking for her, but left when there were no answers.
Dengar TV kat luar, dah nightline dah. Hurm dah pkul 12 sis.🙃 Dahlah toilet tadek tingkap or lubang angin, panas siot. Bpe kali basuh muka balik, sebab panas😂 Hurm takpelah, kita tggu frontliner bg breakfast esok lah, buat bunyi bising mintak tolong.

After all her sufferings, at around 7pm after her neighbours noticed that she did not collect her food since earlier in the day, a few Health Ministry staff came looking for her in her room, and managed to find her.
She was then transferred to another room, bringing her unexpected journey with her.
