Say what?!
Ever since the MCO was implemented, we’ve missed our regular intake of sugar filled pastry. Yes, we’re talking about Auntie Anne’s, the most bada** auntie of em’ all.
Here’s how you can get your pretzel fix at home. We present to you, the Pretzel Recipe (dummy-proof edition).

Ingredients
- 500ml milk
- 5 tablespoon of instant yeast
- 6 tablespoons of brown sugar
- 4 tablespoons + 8 tablespoons of melted butter
- 5 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons of fine salt
- 1/3 cup of baking soda
- 3 cups of warm water
- 1/4 cup of coarse salt
Steps :
Step 1: Prepare a pan to warm up the milk. Pour the warm milk in a bowl and add in the instant yeast. Put aside for 3 minutes.
Step 2: Add in 4 tablespoons of melted butter and brown sugar. Mix until incorporated.
Step 3: Slowly add the flour in batches and continue to stir well. Then, add the salt and mix until a dough forms.
Step 4: Using a dough mixer or by hand, knead the dough for roughly 10 minutes.
Step 5: Prepare a bowl and brush the surface with oil. Place the kneaded dough into the bowl and cover it with a plastic wrap. Rest in a warm place for 1 hour.
Step 6: Once the dough doubles in size, remove the plastic wrap and roll out the dough to remove any bubbles.
Step 7: Preheat the oven to 230ºC and divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Then, roll the dough into pretzel shapes.
Step 8: In a pot, add in warm water and baking soda. Once it starts to boil, add the pretzels into the pot and cook for 30 seconds per side.
Step 9: Transfer the pretzels to a baking paper and sprinkle some coarse salt. Bake for 7 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
Step 10: Remove pretzels from the oven and brush them thoroughly with melted butter. Keep brushing the butter for a few layers and enjoy it while it’s still hot!
The lingering smell of food that remains in your kitchen long after you’ve finished cooking is one of the most common problems many homeowners face. The smoke, grease, and dirt remain in the air, making it impure. This is why you should consider installing ductless range hood in your home.
